In this section we will shortly introduce the first stage of our collection in process of “social space” photographs contributed by our readers and other generous colleagues, as well as gleaned from the web, which you can click to here.

The display is called up as a slide show. To exit and view the individual photographs, all you need to do is click .

Our goal in bringing this in-process collection together is to give our readers a feel for the enormous variety of what goes on in the world’s streets and the many ways in which they are used (and abused).  You are invited to make use of them for your own working purposes, though we would ask you to extend credit for your sources.

Please note: We make an effort to acknowledge our sources; however in the earlier stages I was less rigorous on this, for which I apologize to all eventually concerned. We are of course a free public interest program, but still . . .
